SCHMITZ BROTHERS RESORTS COVID-19 POLICY
Updated 1/5/2022
Schmitz Brothers Resorts (Little Switzerland, Nordic Mountain, Rock Snowpark) is committed to bringing
you the best environment possible to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and tubing this winter season. Just like
last season, our COVID-19 response is dynamic as any new information becomes available including
federal, state, and local public health guidelines. The great news is that our core snow sports experiences
are in the great outdoors.
We ask that you please stay home if you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. To learn
more about our safety protocols, please read on.
ON SNOW ACTIVITIES
We will not have a reservation system this season but do strongly encourage everyone to buy online in
advance to save money and ensure rentals, lessons, and tubes are available. We plan to load lifts at
normal capacity, with no face covering requirements outdoors. Groups will be limited during anticipated
peak times.
FACE COVERINGS
INDOORS - Face coverings will not be required but are recommended for guests in indoor settings,
unless required by local public health authorities.
OUTDOORS - Face coverings will not be required outdoors, in lift lines, or on chairlifts, unless required by
local public health authorities.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTING
Hand sanitizing stations are provided throughout the resort. We are frequently using products that kill the
COVID-19 virus on all of our high-touch surfaces and restrooms. We continue to have enhanced cleaning
and disinfecting practices across the ski areas.
STAFF
All employees are required to perform a daily health self-checks, regularly wash their hands, and stay
home if sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. At times throughout the season based on
transmission rates, we may require our indoor staff to wear face coverings and abide by any additional
health requirements.
COVID-19 INHERENT RISK
Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present. Schmitz
Brothers Resorts cannot guarantee you will not be exposed to COVID-19 during your visit. The risk of
being exposed or becoming sick due to COVID-19 cannot be eliminated. Every skier and rider shares the
responsibility for a safe and healthy skiing experience. It is your responsibility to read and comply with all
instructions and signage posted at the ski area. Please stay home if you are sick or experiencing
symptoms of COVID-19.
