Assistant Snow School Manager - Seasonal Full-Time

Position Overview: This individual will provide leadership and coordination for all skiing and snowboarding lessons taking place at The Rock Snowpark. This position works closely with the rental and ticketing department on a daily basis and reports to the general manager. This manager will also be responsible for the booking and scheduling of all skiing and snowboarding group visits at The Rock Snowpark.
The Assistant Snow School Manager will shadow the current manager throughout the 2022/2023 season and transition into the manager role by end of the season. This position is customer-service oriented and involves the organization, training and oversight of all skiing and snowboarding lessons. The ideal candidate will be a passionate skier or snowboarder that is certified or working towards a PSIA/AASI certification and has prior knowledge about teaching. Group bookings will also fall under this position as they directly involve lessons and availability.
This is a full-time, seasonal position (40+ hours a week). Work typically begins mid-October and ends mid-March. The manager is expected to be on site before, during and sometimes after operating hours. Nights and weekends are required. Possible full-time, year-round work is available with our growing summer business. The Rock Snowpark’s Snow School has had tremendous growth over the past years and we are looking for an individual who is ready to take on this part of our business and really make it thrive. Cafe Supervisor/Shift Lead - Seasonal Part-Time

Position Overview: Lift operators are in constant contact with our guests and must be friendly and helpful when greeting and assisting them. You will be outside, sometimes for your entire shift, in all types of weather. You must be agile on soft and hard-packed snow surfaces and able to walk safely down the slopes. You will at times be performing basic lift maintenance and clearing snow. You will work the Magic Carpet lift in the tubing area, and you may be scheduled to work as a tubing attendant during weekday “special open” events for school groups. Lift operators are responsible for making sure customers have a safe and enjoyable experience while using the lifts at The Rock Snowpark.

Snow School Instructor - Seasonal Part-Time

Position Overview: All are encouraged to apply, whether or not there you have experience in skiing or snowboarding. Teaching experience is not required and will be taught at pre-season clinics. There will be a required Instructor Training Clinic for all new instructors – usually the first three weekends in December. Lift tickets will be provided for all training days.
Instructors work in high visibility positions and are expected to be friendly, courteous and patient at all times. Instructors teach both private and group lessons, with students of all ages. Snow School instructors are an extremely important position; you can be the reason someone decides to ski or snowboard for the rest of their life!

Position Overview: Rentals staff is in charge of providing guests with ski and snowboarding equipment, which is fit to each individual’s size and ability. This may include skis or a snowboard, boots, poles and/or a helmet. It is of utmost importance that each guest feels cared for and comfortable in their rental equipment. No prior experience is required, as all training will be paid and conducted through The Rock Snowpark. - Greet and provide outstanding guest service at all times
- Inspect, shape and test terrain park features
- Maintain terrain park by raking, shoveling and chipping ice off of features
- Properly document and record daily inspections and fix needed work daily

You must be passionate about the winter season and understand how to dress appropriately for the weather (you will be required to rent a Rock Snowpark jacket to wear during your shifts). Outside Operations/Terrain Park Build Member - Seasonal Part-Time

- Work with various types of power tools and equipment to successfully complete projects

Position Overview: Outside operations duties are a variety of different tasks to ensure a successful operation of the hill when we are open to the public. Job duties may include snowmaking, plowing snow, terrain park builds, miscellaneous shop projects, and assisting the Mountain Manager wtih any tasks. Hours of work could be evenings, mornings, nights or overnight shifts. Majority of shifts would likely take place when we are not open to the public. Ideal individuals will have a passion for skiing and snowboarding, enjoy working with their hands and have prior experience using power tools and other equipment/machinery. We are also looking for individuals to assist/lead terrain park builds. This consist of placing terrain park features and assisting the terrain park manager with builds. Terrain park builds typically happen during weekdays but may be done overnight as well. Having a organized on snow build team to help the snow cat operator is important to a successful terrain park operation.

The Rock Adventure Tower - Course Manager

Coming to The Rock Snowpark is The Rock Adventure Tower! A Kristall Turm KT-7 Tower offering three levels of elements for all skill levels. We are hiring a course manager to handle all day-to-day operations of the tower. Join The Rock Snowpark team to bring fun to the hill all year long!
We are seeking a safety-minded, energetic, fun facilitator to direct high/low ropes courses and team-building exercises. The manager must have extensive leadership, high ropes and team building experience; feel comfortable leading games and speaking in front of groups. The course manager is also responsible for all daily course preparation, maintaining a safe environment, equipment inventory/operation checks and organizing team building exercises. The tower manager will directly supervise a staff of individuals 18 years and older while performing duties such as scheduling and training. The course manager will work closely with The Rock Snowpark’s general manager and owners.
The preferred candidate will have a strong focus on:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining effective management systems and processes
- Contribute to short and long-term strategic priorities and planning
- Train staff and contribute to a team culture intensely focused on exceptional guest experiences

- Care and use of ropes, harnesses, helmets and other equipment and supplies
Applicants must have a current or the ability to obtain ACCT Level 2 safety certification. This certification requires 200 hours of previous ropes course experience.
The Rock Adventure Tower is a seasonal attraction, operating in the summer months while the ski hill is closed. The tower manager is a full-time seasonal position with the opportunity for employment at the ski hill during the winter season.
