Snow Tubing Manager- Seasonal Full-Time (2 positions available)
Essential Job Functions: Must be 21yr+ | Starting at $20/hr
- Must be 21yrs or older with prior management experience
- Lead a team of 30-50 employees
- Responsible for nearly all aspects of our snow tubing park

Position Overview: Our snow tubing park is the busiest area on the hill. We are looking for an upbeat and positive individual(s) to lead a team and provide outstanding customer service to our snow tubing guests. The snow tubing manager ensures that our snow tubing park is staffed accordingly and operating in an efficient and safe manner for our customers. This position requires to be very hands on and vocal with guests and employees. Majority of snow tubing guests are families and young kids. The manager will work closely with our outside operations department and report to the general manager.
The tubing manager will oversee all scheduling and training of our tubing department. This position requires a risk management type thinker and holds safety of guests and employees to the utmost importance. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outside, interacting with others and have outstanding customer service skills. The right individual(s) would also take on the coordination and scheduling of tubing group visits. This position can be set up to be split between two managers balancing the duties of a this operation.

Terrain Park Manager - Seasonal Full-Time
Essential Job Functions: +21yrs | Starting at $18/hr | Pay based on experience
- Lead a team of 5-15 employees
- Responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling park staff
- Design and lead the building of all park features weekly
- Develop, facilitate and deliver all user education and training around terrain parks

Position Overview: The terrain park manager will oversee all aspects of our freestyle terrain park department. They will provide input to management regarding design, layout, construction and maintenance of freestyle terrain parks. The terrain park manager will report directly to the operations manager and general manager. This position requires prior knowledge and experience in terrain park riding. The manager will be held responsible for the quality of the parks and leading a team to maintain and build them. Terrain parks are a huge part of The Rock Snowpark, we are looking for an individual who is dedicated and is willing to put the work in to continue that reputation. The terrain park manager also plays a role in the operations department, helping out wherever needed. Previous snow cat operating is not required but is preferred. The ideal individual will have a passion for skiing, snowboarding, and the progression of terrain parks at The Rock Snowpark. Position Overview: Lift operators are in constant contact with our guests and must be friendly and helpful when greeting and assisting them. You will be outside, sometimes for your entire shift, in all types of weather. You must be agile on soft and hard-packed snow surfaces and able to walk safely down the slopes. You will at times be performing basic lift maintenance and clearing snow. You will work the Magic Carpet lift in the tubing area, and you may be scheduled to work as a tubing attendant during weekday “special open” events for school groups. Snow School Instructor - Seasonal Part-Time

Position Overview: Interested in teaching people how to enjoy the sport you love? Come join the Rock Snowpark Snow School Team! All are encouraged to apply, whether or not you have previous experience in teaching skiing or snowboarding. Teaching experience is not required and will be taught during pre-season training. There will be required Instructor Training Clinics for all instructors – usually beginning in November and ongoing throughout the season. Lift tickets will be provided for all training days.
Instructors work in high visibility positions and are expected to be friendly, courteous focused, and patient at all times. Instructors teach a variety of lessons including private lessons, group lessons, and teach in our Terrain Based Learning area. Instructors work with learners of all ages and demographics. Snow School instructors are an extremely important position; you can be the reason someone decides to ski or snowboard for the rest of their life!

Rentals Staff Member - Seasonal Part-Time

Position Overview: Rentals staff is in charge of providing guests with ski and snowboarding equipment, which is fit to each individual’s size and ability. This may include skis or a snowboard, boots, poles and/or a helmet. It is of utmost importance that each guest feels cared for and comfortable in their rental equipment. No prior experience is required, as all training will be paid and conducted through The Rock Snowpark. Other job requirements include but are not limited to: general cleaning of the lodge, shoveling snow and salting, emptying outside trash cans and assisting in other departments such as tubing on busy days.

Terrain Park Staff - Seasonal Part-Time
Essential Job Functions: +18yrs | $14/hr
- Greet and provide outstanding guest services at all times
- Inspect, shape and test terrain park features when instructed to do so
- Maintain terrain park features by raking and shoveling features
- Assist lift operations, snowmaking and other outside departments. Being a team player is required of this position, you will be cross trained in lift ops.
- Ensure take offs are groomed/raked each night so they can properly set up for the next day
- Properly document and record daily inspections and repair features as needed
- Educate guests on safety and proper use and etiquette of the terrain parks if improper use on features is seen
- Follow a build plan to efficiently reset or build new features in our parks
Position Overview: Terrain Park Staff are to create and maintain terrain park features including take offs, jumps and other features, and maintaining all signage, markings, and safety features of the terrain parks. Features support rider progression and provide on hill entertainment to a wide variety of skiing/snowboarding skill levels. This position requires the employee to have prior experience/knowledge of freestyle skiing and snowboarding. As a terrain park employee your primary responsibility is to our terrain parks, however, given the nature of the workload and our ski area, terrain park staff will also assist in the lift and hill operations departments. Skiing and snowboarding while on shift is strictly prohibited.
There are two primary roles within the terrain park department - rake shifts and build shifts. Both are paid hourly.
Rake Shifts: Scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays & Holiday Hours. These are shifts that take place while we are open, maintaining the already existing features and interacting with our guests. You may be scheduled by yourself or one other park crew member. Weeknight (Mon-Thu) park staff will be scheduled as a lift operator, working lifts until close then completing a closing maintenance rake lap on the terrain parks.
Build Shifts: These shifts take place roughly once a week and are typically during the day before the hill is open to the public. These shifts consist of working with the snow cat operator and other park staff to build and set the features in the park. (Shoveling, raking, & sculpting). This is outside physical labor in all types of weather conditions.

Ticketing Staff - Seasonal Part-Time

The primary responsibility will be to knowledgeably and accurately sell tickets and pro-shop items as well as help the cafe point-of-sales when needed. You must be knowledgeable of all aspects of The Rock Snowpark, be able to answer questions and provide information about all departments.
Job responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to: answering the phone, working closely with customers, general cleaning of the lodge, working a cash register at the ticket counter and cafe counter, restocking the pro-shop and assisting with group check-ins.

Guest Services - Seasonal Part-Time

Position Overview: Do you love being outdoors and helping our winter enthusiasts? Guest Services is for you! This position involves various duties around the entire hill. Duties will include ticket scanning, grounds and trash removal, snow removal, and getting trained in the snow tubing. You must be passionate about the winter season and understand how to dress appropriately for the weather (you will be required to rent a Rock Snowpark jacket to wear during your shifts).
While the primary responsibilities of this position will be ticket scanning/customer service the guest services department also acts as a “floating” department that is able to assist in multiple areas around the hill when needed. You will be cross trained in snow tubing to be able to fill in when needed. This position requires outgoing individuals who are very vocal. Ticketing scanning (loss prevention) is our main way of identifying theft on the hill.

Outside Operations/Snowmaking - Seasonal Part-Time
Essential Job Functions: +18yrs | Starting at $16/hr
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Preform your entire shift on your feet
- Be able to preform physically demanding tasks (lifting, shoveling, walking up and down the hill ect.)
- Work with various types of power tools and equipment to successfully complete projects

Position Overview: Outside operations duties are a variety of different tasks to ensure a successful operation of the hill when we are open to the public. Job duties may include snowmaking, plowing snow, terrain park builds, miscellaneous shop projects, and assisting the Operations Manager wtih any other tasks. Operations employees will be trained in lifts to assit trouble shooting and ensure our lifts are running smoothly for our guests. Hours of work could be evenings, mornings, nights or overnight shifts. Majority of shifts would likely take place when we are not open to the public. Ideal individuals will have a passion for skiing and snowboarding, enjoy working with their hands and have prior experience using power tools and other equipment. This position recommends candidates have some prior experience operating heavy equipment, problem solving/working with their hands and have a flexible schedule.
