Food & Beverage Manager - Seasonal Full Time

Essential Job Functions | Must be +21 | Pay based on experience 

  1. Oversee day-to-day operations of our cafe and bar during the winter season
  2. Schedule and manage cafe and bar team members to work the register, grill, fryer, and other positions
  3. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds on a frequent basis
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor
  5. Adhere to all recipes standards set forth by the company while striving for excellent food
  6. Manage ticket times and ensure guests are being served in a timely manner

ALL PART-TIME WINTER POSITIONS

Rental Supervisor - Seasonal part-time

Essential Job Functions | Must be +18 | Starting $14/hr

  1. Help oversee the rental department and operations 
  2. Ensure rental gear is being set correctly and all gear is accounted for 
  3. Oversee rental staff and scheduling, working closely with the manager
  4. Preset rental gear ahead of time for large groups or lessons 
  5. Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the rental building 
  6. Work closely with Snow School and Groups manager to coordinate rental inventory 
  7. Snow removal duties around buildings and patio 
  8. Purchase and/or rent a uniform on or before your first shift and follow all dress code requirements

Position Overview: We are looking for an upbeat, organized, and driven individual to join our team as a rental supervisor! The rental supervisor will be working with guests so they must have excellent customer service skills. When not directly working with guests they will be overseeing the rental staff, ensuring skis and snowboards are being set correctly, leading rental-specific training, and assisting the manager with any other duties. This position will mainly take place inside the rental building or lodge but will also require outdoor tasks such as snow removal and trash pick-ups. The ideal candidate will have skiing/snowboarding experience, have great leadership skills, and likes to work with their hands.

Lift Operator - Seasonal part-time

Essential Job Functions | Must be +18 | Starting $14/hr

  1. Working outside, frequently in extreme weather conditions
  2. Ensuring guests remain SAFE at all times while using our lifts
  3. Physically holding chairs while guests load and unload chairlifts
  4. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  5. Snow shoveling required
  6. May be on your feet for the entire shift
  7. Purchase and/or rent a uniform on or before your first shift and follow all dress code requirements

Position Overview: Lift operators are in constant contact with our guests and must be friendly and helpful when greeting and assisting them. You will be outside, sometimes for your entire shift, in all types of weather. You must be agile on soft and hard-packed snow surfaces and able to walk safely down the slopes. You may be performing basic lift maintenance and clearing snow. You will work the Magic Carpet lift in the tubing area, and you may be scheduled to work as a tubing attendant during weekday “special open” events for school groups. Lift Operators are responsible for making sure customers have a safe and enjoyable experience while using the lifts at The Rock Snowpark.

Snow School Instructor - Seasonal part-time

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Good skiing and/or snowboarding ability preferred but not required
  2. Outside work, frequently in extreme weather conditions
  3. Commitment to improving skills and teaching techniques through practice and clinics
  4. Some clinics will be mandatory
  5. Excellent customer services skills necessary
  6. Minimum age requirement is 14
  7. Purchase and/or rent a uniform on or before your first shift and follow all dress code requirements

Position Overview: All are encouraged to apply, whether or not there you have experience in skiing or snowboarding. Teaching experience is not required and will be taught at pre-season clinics. There will be a required Instructor Training Clinic for all new instructors – usually the first three weekends in December. Lift tickets will be provided for all training days.

Instructors work in high visibility positions and are expected to be friendly, courteous, and patient, at all times. Many times, instructors will be teaching a group of guests, and lessons are for all ages. Snow School Instructors are an extremely important position. You can be the reason someone decides to ski/board for the rest of there life!

Rentals Staff Member - Seasonal part-time

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Perform job on your feet for an entire shift
  2. Acquire a Head Tyrolia Rentals Staff certification on or before your first shift
  3. Minimum age of 14
  4. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
  5. Must be able to independently reach a height of 8 feet with the use of a ladder
  6. Snow shoveling is required
  7. Purchase a uniform on or before your first shift and follow all dress code requirements

Position Overview: Rentals staff is in charge of providing guests with ski or snowboarding equipment, which is fit to each individual’s size and ability. This may include skis or a snowboard, boots, poles, and a helmet. It is of utmost importance that each guest feels cared for and comfortable in their rental equipment. No prior experience is required, as all training will be paid and conducted through The Rock Snowpark. Other job requirements include but are not limited to: general cleaning of the lodge, emptying outside trash cans, shoveling snow and salting, and assisting in other departments such as tubing on busy days.

Snow Tubing Attendant - Seasonal part-time

Essential Job Functions:

  5. Excellent customer service skills

Position Overview: Tubing Attendants are in constant contact with our guests and must possess friendly and helpful personalities. Attendants will perform all opening, operating, and closing procedures at the Tubing Park at The Rock. They will assist customers at the top and the bottom of the hill with getting into and out of snow tubes. It is the tubing attendants' responsibility to ensure customers have a safe and memorable experience! This position requires you to be vocal and interact with the guests - don't be shy!

Position Overview: Our Cafe staff is responsible for meeting customers’ needs in terms of food and beverage, as well as ensuring clean and sanitary conditions of the lodge area. Your duties include but are not limited to food prep, operating a fryer and/or oven, operating a cash register, cleaning, disinfecting, and stocking restrooms, mopping and vacuuming all floors, removal of trash, and recyclables from common areas, and clearing lodge tables. Position Overview: Bartending at The Rock Snowpark is great part-time work! Serve up drinks while getting to interact with customers at a unique location - a ski hill! The Lodge bar is a full-service bar providing mixed drinks, canned & bottled beer, tap beer, hot chocolate, and more. We are looking for outgoing individuals to add to our bartending team. Besides serving drinks, bartenders are also responsible for stocking cooler items.

Park Crew Staff Member - Seasonal part-time

Essential Job Functions

  1. Greet and provide outstanding guest service at all times. Must be 16+
  2. Inspect, shape and test terrain park features
  3. Maintain terrain park features raking, shoveling, and chipping ice off of features.
  4. Properly document and record daily inspections and fix needed work daily.
  5. Set up area fencing and signage as assigned. To include entrances and exits for the terrain parks.
  6. Educate guests on proper use and etiquette of the terrain parks if improper use of features is seen.
  7. Be familiar and knowledgeable with the skier's responsibility code and park safety
  8. Snow removal/add snow around terrain park features daily.
  9. Work closely with multiple departments. Lifts, Patrol, & Operations
  10. Help out in other areas as needed. Be a team player. 

Position Overview: Park Crew members are to create and maintain terrain park features, take-offs, jumps, and other obstacles and surroundings, that include features that support rider progression and provide on hill entertainment to a wide variety of skiing/snowboarding skill levels. Terrain parks are a huge part of The Rock Snowpark, we are looking for individuals who are dedicated and are willing to put the work in to continue that reputation.

Ticketing/Guest Services  - Seasonal part-time

Position Overview: Ticketing/Guest Services staff are among the first employees a guest talks to, so this position requires friendly and helpful people, with the ability to handle money in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibility will be to knowledgeably and accurately sell tickets and pro-shop items as well as help the Cafe point of sales when needed. You must memorize all aspects of The Rock Snowpark, be able to answer questions, and provide information about all departments. Job responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to: answering the phone, working closely with customers, general cleaning of the lodge, restocking the pro-shop, working a cash register at the ticket counter, AND cafe counter, and assisting with group check-ins! The Guest Services portion of this position will mainly take place outside assisting guests with arrival check-in as well as scanning tickets on hill. This position requires you to be vocal and interact with the guests - don't be shy!
